Just arrived two days ago.  It is too bright even when brightness, contrast, *and* the rgb color settings are set to zero - in all conditions accept on a sunny day with the blinds open.   Those controls do work, they just do not go low enough.  The monitor seems to be setup to be a television for a large room, or as movie projector, but this is a computer monitor and I have my face in it, so I need reasonable brightness settings.  It would be a shame to have to return it over this, as otherwise the image is crisp and high resolution.

May I have a firmware update?  We run Fedora 31 here.  If not a firmware update do you have a program that can be used to control the monitor that is capable of setting the brightness lower than on the monitor settings panel?   As a third option, send me a curved color neutral gray glass cover for it.

The attached photos are of a Chrome window open to a shoe advert over an Emacs window.  The Emacs window has a bright text over a black background. The controls for,  brightness, contrast, and the three rgb adjustments have all been set to *zero* as can be seen on the monitor panel at the lower right. The text is quite legible and bright enough with  this setting.   Those photos were taken at 2:30 in the afternoon in the office on a sunny day with the blinds open.

p.s. to the sarcastic person who is sure to reply with a suggestion to wear sun glasses,  note that I have tried this.  Looking through sun glasses blurs the image slightly, makes it so I can not see the key caps on the keyboard, and I can not read documents at the same time as using the computer.
