Soundbar switches back to tv sound after shutting the tv off and back on.

Lately have noticed the soundbar is not connected and when I check the source it says to check the connection etc. I have it wired through HDMI 4 (ARC) in. After going to setup sound again, it will set up and show it is connected but as soon as I shut the tv off, it shuts off the soundbar and when you turn it back on it is no longer connected via HDMI but rather TV sound again! I can turn the soundbar on manually to make it work but it doesn't seem to stay connected. This is on a HW-R60C soundbar and a Costco model Samsung QN557DRAF. Any help is appreciated.

Any fix? I have the same problem on my Q65R and soundbar.

I have the same on a Q55 OLED purchased 2 months ago. Every time we turn the TV on we have to unplug and plug the soundbar to get the TV to recognise it. Why can't we have a menu item in the TV sound, permanently, to select HDMI ARC, to force it to connect. We can always turn the setting back to speakers if we want??? At the moment the process is infuriating.
