My speaker is being recognised as a headset is there any way of changing that

It is not a samsung speaker but it d does get recognised as a headset on my Samsung phone

I'm absolutely fed up with this S21 5g, I get about 2 weeks use with no problems, then it starts again, shutting down by itself.

@danjack - Assuming you have a recent Samsung Galaxy running the latest OneUI 5, you can try the following to see if it resolves your issue. Note that this depends on the Samsung phone type and OneUI version you have installed.

Go to Settings > Connections > Bluetooth
Under the Paired devices section, find your headset device and select the cog icon
This should display another window with your headset device information.
At the bottom of this window you should see the Audio device type setting where you can change the device type to whatever option suits you best.
