Hi everyone
I have a UA85BU8000WXXY crystal UHD connected to a HW-Q930B soundbar though a HDMI e-arc.
I have recently connected a Panasonic dp-ub450 HD blu ray player.
The blu ray player has a seperate HDMI audio out, which i have connected to the HDMI port on the soundbar.
I have disconnected the e-arc hdmi going from the tv to the soundbar, as everytime i wanted to watch the bluray, the TV would automatically switch to the HDMI input on the soundbar. Which meant i can hear the film, but not see it. After disconnecting the e-arc hdmi. I can switch to the hmdi video to the Panasonic and see the film, and select the HDMI on the soundbar.
When I reconnect the e-arc I will have the same problem. Does anyone 1) know what im talking about and 2) have a solution, so i can watch the film and use the HDMI input on the soundbar for the sound.
Now im having the soundbar cut out in regards to sound 😕
Thanks heaps
Eddy

I have Panasonic Blu-ray player btp 180 Samsung au8000 and q600b soundbar with 9200s rears. I put the Blu-ray player in bitstream mode, set the tv hdmi sound option to automatic and make sure CEC is on on Blu-ray player, and disable secondary language. Use earc on soundbar. I have had fantastic sounds from this setup. Good luck

Sorry one more thing, don't use the audio only output on Blu-ray player, as this will carry no video output. Just connect the Blu-ray player straight to TV via Blu-ray video HDMI output, and it will be in the direct input DIN source on the soundbar, which will read earc once selected.
