Is photo post processing cheating ?

If AI is a threat, what about all the existing photo editing tools?

Photo editing with tools like Lightroom or Snapseed isn't considered cheating; it's a creative process to enhance and refine an image. Most photographers use post-processing to adjust lighting, colours, or composition, aligning the final result with their artistic vision.

So is this not cheating and if we are to watermark AI altered content, surely the same should apply to any other editing software.

Personally, I think only AI generated content should have a watermark on it, as AI is getting so good sometimes without AI watermark. You would question if this is real or AI.

Photo editing isn't cheating as we adjusting things to look pictures a bit better without AI.

I think it's everywhere even if taken with dslr we still need to process it manually to get an optimizated picture soo it's actually good in my pov that samsung does it for us then we doing it ourselves 😋😋

I was talking with someone today, they spend ages with desktop apps, yes they look good, but he took the bait and I called him a cheater, 3 seconds of photo and 30 minutes editing 🤣

Are the photos equal, Point shoot, Post Processed, AI Remastered ?

Ummm, I have taken Bunch of photos on samsung I have used tools to process in the gallery app itself and when I try to remaster it, it says that remastering is not required. Soo I think AI knows how a photo could look best. Ofcourse the photo taken raw and post process are different coz u can change it to your liking. Let's say I don't like my face it's too round I can change my jawline in app to make it look better 😅😂😂😂 well just lil processing and it looks good to go🤭

I don't think post processing is an issue, we don't always capture the photo prefectly, so a little post editing is ok

I don't really use AI except to clean up a photo or remove objects and people

We have them now, can't call AI tweaks cheating and then say "I just tweak for 15 mins to bling the photo".
