I have used Chat GPT Gemini, and Llama types of GPT, but always found them more plagiarism-focused or making you sound like someone you are not or the other end of the spectrum of privacy abuse.

When Samsung AI came along I thought here we go more of the same, but over time I am finding the benefits of a Samsung AI ecosystem are Time Saving, Energy Saving and Social Enrichment. So I thought i would share some details and practical real-world examples and also encourage others to feedback on Samsung AI.

SOCIAL ENRICHMENT

- Interpreter (I increasingly feel confident at work, mobile, holiday communicating)

- Cirle to search (No more Google, type, describe if you can, then repeat, but with Circle it is just that)

- Photography (Endless fun with editing, adding, removing, improving shots)

TIME-SAVING

- Samsung Notes (Scribble notes, AI format them and AI bullet points)

- Samsung Food (Liking the suggestions, reminders and integrations)

ENERGY SAVING

- Bespoke AI (Only a fridge/microwave with AI, but always had Kasa smart plugs to monitor)

Still not sure or sold on AI in general.

Sure I do find circle to search useful... and this upcoming sketch tool looks fun to play with when it finally reaches the older phones S24, S23 etc.

However, I am an older generation guy and I just don't know how I feel about the fakeness of AI... including processing of images and modifying original content. Even sometimes doing it without knowledge... or when wishing to have the original that was taken.

The world these days has a large quantity of fake contents ... including but not limited to, AI generated spoken reviews all over YouTube, as well as modified photos and pictures that aren't even really anything like the original content at all... I.e. the ability to delete people from photos, moving items around, and now even drawing additions and letting AI add then in. In many ways AI is changing a large amount of the original contents.

There used to be an art to good photography, and the skills were in the hands and the eye of the photographer. Perhaps post processing a raw image has always been a thing since the digital age, but you really can now take a pretty rubbish photo, and make it look like professional quality, just by pressing a few buttons. There is no skill or art in this !

I guess AI is also turning people even more lazy than before... I.e. "Gemini, write me a letter to give to my boss for a notice period of leaving work... "... all done for you. No effort needed and I can now get back to my lazy life again 😴

Soon enough our next generations can just sit all day on our sofas and do nothing but simply ask AI to carry out all the tasks in our previous lives that we used to do manually. 😃

I am not entirely against it all... and being a design engineer in a technology industry I understand the need for development and improvement.
But just sometimes I want to see a genuine photo in a photography competition... or wish to write my own letter or business notes.

I am a little sad of the world we are becoming and for my young adult kids.

Rant over lol 😃

100% agree, I started post talking about focus on AI plagiarism, but I find mybuse is more Language and Time Saving, I think that has merit and a break away by Samsung from the Chat GPT mob.

Translation may have a definate use case... perhaps pay and go service for a week when travelling... and I would probably pay for that as a service.

The theory of paying £19 a month for Gemini advanced or whatever it will be called, is certainly something I won't be likely doing. 😉👍

Yeah, I reminded me that my recent trip was to Turkey and no Samsung Interpreter support, so I resorted to Google Translate, which was very poor in terms of detection and accuracy.

I think it will take some time for general public to get used to it. Meanwhile AI can be integrated well enough in the device and the chip. Smartphones are now really smart with AI :smiling-face:
