Wallet Case s25 Ultra.

Anyone know if Samsung will be offering the Wallet Case for the S25 series.

I received a similar smart view case, like at cases.com, but purchased from ebay.  I think it's mediocre. The cover doesn't close perfectly when I have my license card inside. I didn't have that issue with the S24U smart case. I do like that there are individual camera cutouts which fit nicely.

The major gripe that I have though is that the smart feature doesn't work without additional software. They want you to install an apk straight from china. However, there's an old app in the play store dated Jul 5th, 2024 called "Smartwindow". But it requires you to give rights to your contacts and phone calls. No way am I enabling that - they'll likely SPAM you and all of your contacts.  Or, since the case can be had for less than $10 USD on AliExpress, it seems ripe to monetize your identity by tracking it.  Or something even worse could be lurking...  They can't get the latest version of the app approved in the play store.

The phone switches on when you open the case so it acts like the original Samsung case. When you get the case there is a QR code to scan which is the software for the case to work, once you open the app agree to everything the you need to scan the nfc on the case to pair with your phone, I had to do mine a few times for the phone to except the case.

When I ordered direct from Samsung the person said there were no wallet cases available at the time.  They were not sure there will be an OME wallet case.  This is this first time that I have purchased a Galaxy S series that Samsung did not offer one for sale.

I sure hope you're right and they put a firmware update that can handle turning the screen on and off by flipping the lid. I believe it worked with the fingerprint sensor. 

I put my S25 Ultra into my S24 Ultra Samsung S-view wallet case and it fit nearly perfectly.....but then I noticed it does not interact with the phone, doesn't turn the screen on, and doesn't show the time in the window opening on the lid. I haven't NOT used an S-view case since before my Note 10.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Can you tell us what is the app that you needed to download? Maybe the community can assess is there is a risk of sharing data with companies or countries we would prefer not to.

I talked to the sales person about that when I purchased my S25.  He said if it wasn't available in the Samsung Store more than likely it won't be made available.  I found a wallet case on Amazon that fits my purpose.  Comes in black or tan, plastic.
