Unlinked Smart Tag 2 from account, but it still says the tag is linked to an account.

I removed my smart tag from my account to move it, but now I can’t add it back. It says the tag is still linked to an account, but it doesn’t show up in the original account, and I can’t reconnect it to the original account. 

Does anyone have any recommendations?

To reset a Samsung Galaxy SmartTag 2, you can try these steps: 

1. Open the SmartTag's battery cover
2. Remove the battery
3. Press and hold the button in the center of the SmartTag
4. While still holding down the button, reinsert the battery
5. Hold down the button for five seconds, then release it

• Snap the battery cover back into place
