Dear All,
For my parents I added las week a smart tag 2 at the door keys. They didn't have an android device at home. So I left a Samsung A53 5G at their place connected with internet with Wi-Fi. Bluetooth is enabled, the phone has had all updates. There is no sim card in the phone. The phone has a working Google and Samsung account. The idea was to have a stationary android device where the tags can contact with when they arrive at home. I use Smart-things at my own phone to find or follow the smart tags. The tags work, when they go to the shop we can see that the tags are noticed there. When they go home, sometimes I can see the tag is detected by a device from one of the neighbours. It looks like the tags never been detected by the android phone which I left at my parents for this purpose. When I visit them the tags will update (probably because they connect with my own phone). I've searched the internet, it didn't bring me further. What setting or issue can cause this? Any help will be appreciated!
regards,
Gerard

Its not a direct answer to your question but for this use case, you can share the tracker from your account to the static A53 which should make this work.
Unclear why it's not just picking it up...

Thank you for your reaction. This is not gonna help me. My own phone is normally not in the neigbourhood, only when I visit my parents. If I share it from my own phone to the static phone I can see where the tags are at the static phone, that is not necessary. I have read somewhere at the internet that it can take a few days before it's working in the smart things network. Does this make sense?
