Smarttag2 does not ring phone on double depress of smarttag2

Bought two smarttag2 for myself and wife and can get neither of them to ring the phone when depressing smarttag2 twice. I am able to ring the smarttag2 devices from my phone however.

I have followed the troubleshooting advice on Samsung US website in respect to this - samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01211466/ 

but when the guide (point 4) refers to "Turn on Let tag find your device" - I cannot find this anywhere in the SmartThings App.

In SmartTag2 settings, toggle on the option Find phone or tablet.

Thanks for your reply. But I already have the "Find phone or tablet toggled ON". So my issue is something else

I have exactly the same issue. Did you ever find a solution. Frustrating as it works fine for everything else

I purchased (4) of the Smart Tag2 and after setting up the first one on my S24 phone, I could not get it to ring the phone with pushing the button twice.  I set up a second Smart Tag2 and it worked without any issues.

I decided to try resetting the first Smart Tag2 by removing the battery for a couple of minutes.  After reinserting the battery, the Smart Tag2 would now ring the phone.

I have the same problem and I have multiple smart tags and I toggle it on my phone and it still doesn't ring. I choose to have it ring my tablet and both smart tags make my tablet ring But when I choose my phone neither tag makes my phone ring. I don't ever lose my keys  or my tablet but I lose my phone so I kind of need this feature.

I FIXED THIS!!!! at least for me:

It was not working because my phone was on my home 5GHz Wifi, if i moved to 2.4GHz or on mobile data, it works like a charm
