SmartTag 2 location history issues

Samsung smart tag 2, location issue. I checked my location history tonight and it's seems that it was correctly thinking I was around Gloucester, then at one point (4 minutes after the last update), I was supposedly in Liverpool! (88 miles or two hours drive). Then at the next check in it was correct 


My issue, is this, how can we trust these devices if they report incorrectly? 

Maybe there's an issue with the tracking servers or a tracking id? 

Frequency, noted once so far but not totally confident in the product now and queuing buying more

Hi there, I use an tag 2 myself daily, I can't say I have experienced this issue myself. It might have been a glitch possibly? They rely on other devices around them to pin point their position from what I understand.

I am wondering if momentarily your phone had locked onto a mast nearer Liverpool than where you were or if you use a vpn on your phone for security? Just a thought, I know sometimes when I log into Instagram or other apps when I get a new phone I get emails asking if I am trying to log in from sometimes from other countries believe it or not. That's because my traffic is passed through multiple servers for security and encrypted.

No, I had two Samsung phones in my car driving along a dual carriageway in Gloucester not Liverpool.

Well, for a start off, LS20 9RD isn't Liverpool city centre. LS20 is actually a Leeds postcode, but I don't think the 9RD bit exists, so it definitely doesn't know where it is!

So I checked the same journey again today, 4 tags with the issue (3 x Tag2, 1 x Tag1)
