Rotating accessory not working

I have just purchased a 55 inch S95C television, which I have mounted on the auto-rotating stand (ARAB43STDXC). The stand is designed to move  the screen from landscape to portrait and back.  The television recognises that the rotating accessory is present but does not seem able to pair to it.  I can pair my Samsung S21 phone to the stand using Bluetooth, and by activating SmartView I can connect my phone to the television, but there is no option I can see to rotate the screen (despite the claim in the Samsung promotional video).   

I am not interested in rotating the screen for any reason other than space-saving convenience - but it's important. I would be happy to perform the rotation by hand if that's possible.  I find it frustrating that there's no option to flip a switch to change the orientation.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.
