Battery drain with a smart led view cover

Hi all, I have just bought a new smart led view cover (Samsung official) for my S20 Ultra.

My battery seems to drain more quickly with the smart led view cover.

I wonder if the cover uses the battery even when nothing is displayed (ie, at night) ?

The smart led case draws power from the phone to power led etc... so would expect to drain battery more
