Hello

I recently bought a Samsung smarttag+(2 months old). When I try to add this to smartthings on S23 Ultra, I get an error " error Smarttag could not download controllers" Short video with the issue  https://drive.google.com/file/d/11rrkEYZ-xMhFV29J9ugS71QQN2_NYLHo/view?usp =drivesdk

Here is what I have tried so far:-

1) Reset the SmartTag
2) Delete cache from Smartthings
3) Re-installed smartthings
4) I Tried to add it to another phone (Note 10+), the same issue

I had a call with Samsung support, and they are telling me that there is no warranty on the Smarttag. I requested to send a document but they denied it. I tried to look for some info on the website but was not able to find.

From what I have read and experienced, it seems more like a Tag compatibility issue with Samsung android 13. Any Idea or suggestions on how to fix this?

Working fine with me on Android 13. Just go back to the shop you bought it. You have 2 years warranty on it.

Thanks Rohit for getting back.

I had bought it from bol.com. As it's over 30 days since I bought it. I was under the impressions that Smasung should be the one providing warranty. Is that not the case with SmartTag or accessories?

its not the case with anything you buy.
The seller is the one who has to provide the warranty. They have to follow the law tho, so go back to them and tell them they have to follow the law and they have to replace the tag.

I thought that was the case for first 30 days and afterwards its manufacturers who needs to provide the warranty as per the law. Maybe something dependent on the product type itself.

Anyways let me try my luck with the seller, if they would be ok to replace it.

Nope, it doesn't matter what kind of product you buy. Warranty claims always go trough the seller.

Thank you for your help. I have contacted the seller, and they are going to send a new SmartTag.
