Should be working on both left and right. 
Assuming that there's nothing weird going on with the Lock touchpad feature (Gear/Wearable app on the phone > Settings > Touchpad), then you could try a Power/Restart to see if that resolves it.
If the issue persists, then having the IconX checked out at your nearest Samsung Support Centre would be best.
