THANK SO MUCH FOR THE 💩💩 XMAS PRESENT FROM ALL US USER'S
AND THANK SO MUCH FOR FIXING SOMETHING THAT WAS NOT BROKEN..... AGAIN 😤
i downloaded this app on the galaxy wear store called ,, "sorry it is in the google app store "
" myWear File Explorer " ... i have no doubt that other app's will work to
install it on both phone and watch , mine is a Galaxy Watch4 Classic 46mm - Paired with S10+
open the app and find the files you want on your phone - send them to your watch4
go to your watch , open the app - " myWear File Explorer " ,the files i transferred were at the bottom of all the folders ,not in a folder..... "it is posible to change the destination folder"
tap/hold , they will go blue then tap the 3 dots on the side to copy,,
scroll to ringtone folder, tap to open and then tap the tick to paste them in the ringtone folder,
also paste them to the notification folder if you want to use them
then check to see if it's in the ringtone folder
go to settings/ sounds and vibration, down to ringtone and when i tapped on it
yeppie i got a new ringtone
i hope you understand how i did it
You may have to turn your watch off and back on
update for everyone ... check out the pic's on page3 / if you do get a bit lost
Now i have over 130+ ringtones notification and alarm sound's after restart
ENJOY
*** please click the - Like Button... ***
cheers 👍
confirmed file's that this works with -
.mp3 -- .ogg -- .m4a ,,, have all worked for me and other's...
ps
i've also been told that this will allow you to set custom alarm sounds on your watch,,
and a few have said --
*** a restart must be done to see all custom sounds ***
ORyNvxs mentioned:
"I didn't see my custom files on ringtone list even after few restarts. But then I switched in sound settings sound mode from "sound" to "vibration" then to "silent" and again to "sound" and my custom files appeared on a ringtone list.
also see the pic's further on in the post's to help you ,, page 3 💥🤕
©️
it will not be long before someone does a youtube video to show you how step by step
but don't forget it was here first
i just seen there is a video on youtube but it's rubbish.....2weeks old.....todays date 28/11/21

you can not do that using the wear app,," the phone", you can only change on the watch,,,
ie,, custom ringtone, notification sound's and alarm's

Please read my post again.

again using the - myWear File Explorer - make sure you have deleted the sound files from the folders on your watch,, with you're phone,,
and then you can change the sounds only on your watch

I've deleted them but they stayed in and I had to reset my watch...

Hi!
Watch 4 classic to a S22+ here. I've tried following your method but unfortunately, didn't work for me. Couldn't find the tone anywhere in the myWear app.
I've tried toggling the sound, restarted the watch (and phone too), reinstalling the apps (both phone and watch)and deleted any music in the watch and. Watch it updated. Still couldn't find it (at the bottom and even in any of the folders).
I've done this more than 3 times and i'm about to give up.

hi kimbro,,
have you try'ed - Potshots2k4's,, way by bluetoothing it over to the watch then using the mywear app on your watch to find and put the sound into the right folder, ie/ ringtone,notification..
i find this is a faster way of getting them on the watch as using the app is/can be very slow to send file, ,
i only just see your email,, so you have to go back to where Potshot has said how to do it,,
hope this helps...

I got frustrated myself and then figured that once you follow the steps and download the ringtones, you have to set it through your watch, not the phone. This is the mistake I was doing. Open the settings on your watch, go to the sound and vibration and scroll down and you'll find it there. You do have to restart your watch after downloading a new ringtone because for some reason it won't show right away. I just did it recently again and can confirm this. Hope this helps

hi Manolobull
"I got frustrated",, is an understatement when i first set out on this mission to get a ringtone on to my G4watch, probably 10* restting the watch and over a week,, i won in the end but there is still bug's in this way to do it and two way to get a ringtone onto the dam watch,,, it can be so confusing for some to,,,
i hope someone will make a good video on how to do it step by step
i've been trying to sideload,"ADP debugging", an app for weeks which worked but it will not reinstall after another watch reset, but i'll keep at it untill it's back on the watch... " Compass Steel 3D" which is a great app for the gw4
