Gear S3 Frontier Facebook and WhatsApp

Just set up my new Gear S3...but no idea how to ( or even if I can) add Facebook and WhatsApp apps to it.

Help please 😀

My understanding is that those Apps are not available but you should be able to get notifications.

Thanks...I thought so from other feeds I've read. Utter rubbish. If they want to charge £350 for a watch it should at least be compatible with all major apps eh

Its my belief that the apps you mention and others are resource heavy and as such would probably deplete the battery pretty fast @JaneInWales

This is why its Notifications only. 

I used the Samsung Gear s2 Classic for a while and loved it but for reasons had to send it back. 

I like the size of the s2 Classic as the newer models appear to be a tad too oversized for my wrist !

In the near future I'll certainly be purchasing another.

I have read this discussion with interest.

I understand that samsung will not support watsapp history messages. Wherever they do not support voice messages and watsapp calls.

I have received a Frontier for my birthday and have a 30 day term. If this does not happen, this is certainly my reason, in combination with other things, to bring the product back to samsung, because it doesn't meet my expectations. It supports either calling / texting 1.0. But who still does that in 2018!!

I do not know any!
