Hi, I recently bought a Galaxy Fit 3 and there are issues with step count. Samsung Health doesn't count steps from the band if it's not connected to the phone via Bluetooth. To verify this -
My step count on the band was 3250 but when I connected to Samsung Health it went down to 3052.
So I disconnected band from the phone and walked 40 steps leaving the phone on a desk. Band step count went to 3091. I connected the band to the phone, synced with Samsung Health and step count went back to 3052 on the band.
Effectively lost 40 steps. This is obviously a glitch because one doesn't always have their phone in the pocket for example at home or office.

So I've got an Update for the Band about a week ago and since than it looks like the issue is gone. The Software Version is now R390XXU0AXE1. I hope that this is a temporary solution.

I am on this same version and still having the step count issue.
my watch shows more steps than my phone health app does... tried clearing cache and restarting the watch to no luck :(.

Yes, the same thing happened to me for the first time yesterday. The step count on the phone was correct (around 22000) but on the watch around jumped to 56000, then it reset to 0 and started counting from it after a while jumped back to the correct 22k, no idea what was the trigger to get the count corrected but this type of error is new to me. 😞

Yes, this is really annoying. I bought my Fit3 to use primarily as a watch and a step counter. I used the app to set up the device successfully and change the watch face etc but then had the same issue as all the others on this forum. To solve the problem I disconnected the device from the app by unpairing the Bluetooth link and now it does just what I want. The step counter works well, moves to zero at midnight, the watch display is great and there is also the date of the month and a battery indicator. That's all I need.

Hi guys, I just received a notification for the new firmware R390XXU0AXHD. Try if the problems persist even after the update.

I bought the Fit3 last week (it had already the latest firmware update you also got), to replace my failing Fit e, and the steps are not syncing with the Health app. I tried EVERYTHING, I even lost all my data (I was pretty upset but I simply don't care at this point...) but the band just doesn't work... The most frustrating part is that when I go to the steps section to choose which data should be shown, the Fit3 isn't even an option while the Fit e was always there (along with the phone option of course) until I lost all the data. I tried the whole thing with my old phone, same thing. This is so annoying!
