My fit2 consistently stops recording distance at .04 miles on walks and bicycle rides. It generally works ok after I start a new workout but sometimes I need to start a 3rd workout. I have a galaxy s10 with location on. This just started a few weeks ago. I replaced my Fit2 with a new one thinking it had just started to die but the new one does the exact same thing at the same .04 mile marker.
