The swipe to homescreen or app selector animation feels horrible, especially with the system vibrations turned on, it does not feel fluid at all. There also seems to be a delay where the user needs to wait till the animation has finished before it is possible to interact with the content. The new Folder Menu does not feel right, to tall and not wide enough.
The Google Discover to the left of the homscreen is not implemented well, it is very noticeable it is a different app and not part of the homescreen.
Also for a long time now in One Ui (also 5) there is a terrible lag when in the settings and opending a menue, when some settings page is not cached. Also the predictive Back gesture only works with settings in the app and things like device manager that are offloaded to another package do not work.
Then the Battery Consumption page is not accurate and does not represent the percentage actually consumed.
The overall efficiency of the OS and UI seems badly made. Device gets warm when just jumping around through different settings and animations. Then the "smartphone starting" screen, that always appears after logging in after restart is not pretty. Generally that the Phone is not really ready to use after restart and that you can feel that a lot of resources still get loaded in the background after restart just makes the experience bad. Also that the phone gets hot and consumes a lot of battery while in the camera is disappointing. And the animations and shutter speed are still worse then the competition.
I feel lime the animations and Skin are located at a very top layer of the OS and are not integrated efficiently near the hardware level. this results in a laggy experience and high energy consumption. Sometimes laags with the keyboard or just missing frames in animations ore delays. It should be like, that when something laags and us not loading, that the main UI components like keyboard or animations do not get frozen.
Also the new quick settings needs improvements for single hand usage. It is also bad for smaller devices where you can scroll up and down (when sim manager for dual sim), which results in the requirement for an extra interaction when closing the quick settings.
The Widgets on the lockscreen realy do not feel smooth when opening, there needs to be a better animation when opening and closing.
Also the increase in battery usage when switching from wifi to mobile, especially with mobile Hotspot, is inacceptable.
A feature I would really enjoy is more options in routines, for example to allow conditions to all settings, the if NFC is on for example is missing. Then you could do routines like if NFC on and wait 10 seconds and turn NFC off. For example if NFC was turned on in google wallet and then should be truned off after paying.
I would also like to see an option for the secure folder, where the user is able to select if he wants to be notified when folder is locked or not. This is really annoying when turning on the device and being blasted with this notification.
I also do not understand why it is not possible to extend the media notification with swiping down on lockscreen, like it is possible with notifications.
