Unable to register TV - requires 15 char A/N but the number on the box is only 14 characters

Hi, I am trying to register a TV which was purchased in Ireland but the online form requires 15characters whereas the S/N on the box only has 14 characters and is preventing me from registering. How do I proceed?

Im wondering if they are different for Irish and UK units? Because promos and claims are always divided into 2 locations meaning Ireland and UK. Just a thought 👏

Exactly the same problem but with a washing machine that has a 14 character serial number, not 15

@thickey1 @Lucy2shoes Happy to shed some light on this. The serial numbers are intentionally left incomplete on the boxes to prevent an unauthorised third-party from registering unopened devices to their account. It's always a random number or letter that is missing, so it's not something anyone could guess. 

To find the serial number of a TV, go to Settings > Support > About This TV. You can also find this on a sticker located on the rear of the TV itself. 

The serial number for a washing machine can be found on a sticker located on the inside door, or below a QR code on the front panel.
