Hi all, first post here.
One of my 2 large screen samsung tvs has developed a fault.
When it first turns on I see the app selection for catch up services on the bottom.
After a few seconds, about 30, green vertical lines appear and slowly take over the screen.
After some time they get better but can come back.
They sometimes reach all the way bottom to top but sometimes not.
I didn't expect a TV to develop such faults with the first 6 years of use and its been sat on the wall happily for a few years without incident.
I've submitted a support request via the TV menu today but not heard back.
Does this sound like a t con board/ribbon/connector fault in your guys opinion.
Spent ages going through posts and googling and getting so much conflicting advice.
Do Samsung repair these out of warranty as a gesture of goodwill as seems to be an awful lot of posts and Google hits for these symptoms.
Any help appreciated.
Kind regards
Andrew.

Update
Nice call from Samsung today took remote control of TV and thankfully confirmed only motherboard fault so as out of warranty may source part myself.
At least not defective panel that would have been a bin job then.
Hopefully this will help people with newer tvs consider contacting Samsung out of warranty to take remote access as they can reproduce faults at their end and diagnose quickly.
Cheers.
Andy.
