Hi!
After i upgraded my TV to the newest version (2013 currently) I have no longer have the TV Speakers + Q-soundbar option.
Before that Q-symphony worked well. It synced the TV + Soundbar, however after the update i have only Q-soundbar which works most of the time but sometimes doesnt.
I didnt changed anything at all, only updated the system as it was popping up every ***** time when i started my tv.
Question is what can i do to fix it? I already tried factory reset and hope it'll revert the system to the previous version but it didn't. So now im stuck with something i don't really like as i wouldn't buy a q-soundbar for if i really wanted only to use a soundbar + a sub.
Tried to set it up manually as i saw a q-symphony in the audio options but it says: no available speakers which is kinda a joke as Q800C and S90 should be supported just like before the update.
Model: QE55S90CATXXH
Soundbar model: HW-Q800C/EN

I have a similar problem. We can switch between Qsymphony and a regular HDMIarc Soundbar option.
While both give out sound, I assume the Qsymphony also with the TV, the regular HDMIarc version won`t do that, of course.
But was strikes me is the fact, that with Q-Symphony my regular solar TV-control from Samsung won`t work at all. It doesn`t recognise it, no manual pairing possible, not even the power level is being shown...
When I switch to HDMIarc Soundbar, the remote works instantly correctly again.
As you wrote, we wouldn`t buy a Samsung Soundbar, if the Q-Symphony would deactivate the Remote, or it we were being forced to use the regular HDMIarc mode, without the benefits of the additional tv-sound. I do hope, Samsung can offer some advise or update here... Since we just bought these, its no issue to return it and get a refund...
