My dad gave me his TV he'd had for a few years before he died and I've taken it to uni with me. I've plugged my Amazon fire TV stick into it and keep getting a popping/crackling noise every few minutes lasting a couple of seconds.
The intensity doesn't change with the volume and the crackling ends if I hit mute. It happens whether I'm on the menu or watching a program, and I have tried every setting of dolby digital sound all to no avail.
I know it can't be the stick because I have tried it on other TVs.
How can I stop this noise because it's getting really irritating!
