i have connected an external western digital mypassport 5To to the 1A USB port of my samsung 65S95F tv.
When watching an emission on tv around 3 times per hour , the tv switch to the hard disk external device and i have to switch back to the emission to look again. It is like if i had plug in the device, but i haven't done anything just watching tv, no recording at this time.
When recording an emission on the hard disk and waching an other emission, around 1 time out of 10 times, the recording stop and i have a message from the tv saying the the connection has been lost with the usb device. When i go to the hard disk the record is not readable and i have to delete it, it is lost.
The hard disk and the tv are new, bought in 2026.
Very disapointed to have this kind of problems on a brand new tv , doing something basic : watching tv recording or not a tv emission.
I tried to add an usb hub in between the hard disk and the tv. Plug a 3A power ( >1A the max from tv usb ports) for the usb hub, tried to plug the hub on another usb tv port , but i have the same problems.
Moreover very disapointed by the restrictions on what tv apps can be installed on a 2026 tv ! But that s another point i don't what to discuss on this topic.
