Does anyone else have this same issue? When I power on the PS5 and select the HDMI source on the TV, the TV frequently tells me that the PS5 isn't on...'check device power'. I am always having to disconnect and manually add again.

Yeah I get that on xbox. Sometimes it's good, other times it wants to turn it on and then when I click turn on, it turns it off.
