Hello everyone, I cannot find the setting to disable the on screen volume display on my Q80T. Is there a hidden setting somewhere? If not, can we get the option added by Samsung?
Thank you!

Add me too. Pretty ridiculous this is happening.

Add my voice to the chorus here. I just purchased a q850a and am terribly annoyed by the large on screen volume display. I like having the remote on hand to make minute volume adjustments during loud scenes in movies. Having the display block the content takes you out of the moment. Just give us the option to remove, the number already appears on the soundbar. This wasn't a problem with other soundbars...it's unfortunate that pairing Samsung products means we get forced into "features" that actually hurt the experience. The unwillingness of Samsung to respond to all this feedback is really discouraging; it should be a simple fix.

Just received my QN85B and couldn’t believe I had to consider such a stupid thing as symbols appearing on the TV.
I have talked to Samsung Support and they do not confirm that they are working on a firmware update so we can choose ourself to have it present or not.. so now I’m trying to find energy to pick down my TV and return it to Samsung..

It really is an amazing level of stupidity. Good luck returning it!

I posted a while back about this, thank god I dont have a sound bar, this would drive me mad. This would probably take a decent software engineer half an hour to fix. I won't buy another Samsung until this is fixed.

I just bought Samsung Q90A and the issue when its connected to my yamaha receiver. My old samsung 2014 tv would display numbers and was smaller than this stupidity.

I tried, unsuccessfully, to find an email address so that I could flag this issue to Samsung by linking to this thread. I called support and was told that the only way to provide feedback is by using the feedback option in the website; ridiculously that option is a multiple choice survey about how much you like the Samsung website. I called back and was provided with the same direction, when I pushed back I was told there is no email and no other option to flag an issue. How crazy is it that the company thinks so little about it's customers that they provide no option to give feedback on product issues? If I could still return the tv and soundbar I would, but all I can do is commit to never buying Samsung again and to encourage others to do the same. Really, just crazy...

Sadly, I've come to the same conclusion. The buyer's remorse every time I turn the TV on is painful, and everyone who sees the set gets an ear-full about my feelings of betrayal.
It's not too late for them to come to their senses. Thank you for trying to help them see reason.

Samsung has their head up their ass. I can't even login to this thread on my pc ... their splash page requires me to build a new account.
Okay. The only way to publicize this problem and affect change by Samsung is to use social media. @SamsungUS and @SamsungSupport on Twitter.
FB? Don't know. I quit fb years ago.

Imagine if Sonos added a "feature" to their speakers such that when you turned them up they shouted "VOLUME UP" over every song?
Samsung need to sort this ***** out.
