Hi there. I hope someone can help with this. I have a Samsung UE50RU720 Smart 4K UHD TV and currently have Sky Q 2TB box connected directly to the HDMI ARC (HDMI 3) without a separate Home Cinema System.
When watching content advertised on Sky as being available in Dolby Digitsl Plus (Atmos) I expected to be able to select the Dolby Digital Plus option in the sound settings on the TV. Unfortunately this option is faded out and when I select it says unavailable. I only have two options (PCM and Dolby Digital).
Can anyone explain why this is? I know the TV will not provide Dolby Atmos (regardless of content) but I assumed it would provide Dolby Digital Plus when content allows.
