We’ve got a Samsung crystal uhd cu8000. We’ve set up the WiFi and it connects, but each day when I turn the TV on I have to re-enter the password before it connects. Is there a way to save the password so I don’t have to enter it every time?

Hi @B3cky  Ensure your Tv has the latest firmware 1212.6 which was released last month . if not can be downloaded to USB and updated that way https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/model/UE50CU8000KXXU/

If that is not the issue try disabling soft AP if that is an option in Network settings.   (software enabled Access point) .  could also check if you are using WPA 2 security in your router settings .  some security information here https://www.avast.com/c-wep-vs-wpa-or-wpa2

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

Cheers JAMES4578!

Hi @B3cky,

Our TV/AV colleagues have advised us that this is a temporary issue and set to be permanently resolved by software update version 1220 (or later) – so look out for that.

They’ve also advised a workaround for it that may be a bit easier than entering the Wi-Fi password repeatedly is to carry out a ‘cold’ boot of the TV:

Press and hold the Standby key on the remote for a long time until the TV reboots.

If it’s done successfully, the boot logo will appear, followed by the home icon. (If the TV just goes off or comes back on very quickly, try pressing the Standby key again and for longer.)
