Can't enable subtitles / change audio language on Samsung TV's native player for some files

Hi,

I have two video files (MKV container with several audio and/or subtitle streams). They are on a SSD that is connected to the my Samsung TV (UE55TU8070U) via USB. When I play them via the native player, I can select the audio and subtitle language for one file via the gear icon but not for the other. The menu does not appear.

The only thing I could think of is that the player doesn't support DTS audio and PGS subtitles, which are used in the file with the missing options, and therefore does not display the menu. Could this be the case?

I'd appreciate any help or info!

If you know the answer, why don't you just transcode the file that doesn't work?

Wasn't sure if that was really the problem but now that it seems to be, transcoding might be the only solution. Thank you!
