Tap your earbuds to play or pause music and answer or end a call. You can also touch and hold the earbuds to activate a command of your choice. Learn how to set up and use touch controls on your Galaxy Buds Pro and Galaxy Buds2.

Set up touch controls

Once your Buds are connected to your phone

Open the Wearable app

Tap Touch controls

Switch On

Activate all the features

 

Tap Touch and hold

Choose a command of your choice for each earbud

 

Touch actions

Tap

-          Play or pause track

-          Stop using the Text-to-Speech feature

Double tap

-          Play next track

-          Answer or end call

Triple tap

-          Play previous track

Touch and hold

-          Activate command chosen by user

-          Decline call

Set up touch controls

Once your Buds are connected to your phone

Open the Wearable app

Make sure Block touches is deactivated

 

Tap Touch and hold

Choose a command of your choice for each earbud

 

Touch actions

Tap

-          Play or pause track

-          Stop using the Text-to-Speech feature

 

Double tap

-          Play next track

-          Answer or end call

 

Triple tap

-          Play previous track

 

Touch and hold

-          Activate command chosen by user

Customise touchpad commands for Galaxy Buds2 series

How to set up touchpad commands for each earbud
When you connect Galaxy Buds to the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone or tablet, you will be able to customise some touchpad commands for each earbud.

Step 1. Open the Galaxy Wearable app > Select Touch controls.

Step 2. Tap the switch to enable Touch and hold > Then, select Touch and hold.

Step 3. You can specify detailed settings for each earbud.

Switch noise controls: Touch and hold the touchpad to toggle between Ambient sound and Active noise cancelling.

Bixby: Touch and hold the touchpad to activate Bixby Voice and issue commands just like on your phone.

Volume up / down: Touch and hold the touchpad to increase or decrease the volume. If you select volume control on one earbud, the other will automatically switch to match. If you choose another option, you can still raise and lower the volume on the connected device.

How to overlap volume up/down with other touch commands
On the Galaxy Buds series, you can adjust the volume using the earbud tips, even if you have other touchpad commands set up.

Step 1. Open the Galaxy Wearable app > Select Earbuds settings.

Step 2. Select Labs.

Step 3. Tap the switch to enable Double tap earbud edge > Then, select Double tap earbud edge.
