S95b doesn't recognise audio interface anymore after 1661 update

After updating to 1661 my S95b doesn't recognise my USB interfaces anymore. I have the Roland quad capture and Edirol ua25. Both worked fine in the past and acted as a DA converter to my amp and speakers completely blowing any soundbar quality out of the water. Why would this functionality be removed with the latest update?

To recognise the USB device go home screen > connected devices > audio devices > then (strangely) select Optical instead of USB. After that it saw my USB device again.
