Call Samsung on 03307267864 to arrange a repair unless you live close to a Samsung Service Center, otherwise depending on when you bought it return it to the retailer.

Hi,
Have you tried a two finger swipe down from the top to access the settings and played around with the Sound Settings?

Sometimes the device will also have limited functionality if it is running in Easy Mode.

Thanks for your response. I have tried various things with volume settings and still no joy. I can listen to music if earphones are plugged in but that's the only time I can hear.

I have even reset to factory settings but not any difference.

Hi,
Have you tried booting the tablet whilst holding down the power button and the volume up button? If you switch off your tablet, insert your headphones fully till it clicks. Then restart the tablet whilst holding down the Power and Volume Up button. Once the tablet scrren is On let go of the Power button only whilst still holding the volume up button. Delete the Cache and Partition. Then reboot the tablet. Hopefully this should help.

Tried everything you suggest. Don't have a problem with headphones, can hear sounds through them, but nothing at all when headphones out.

Last but not least have you tried blowing in the headphone socket? And also, try pushing the headphone pin back in and out for about 10 seconds or more, not too hard though. It may be that when you pulled out the headphone the pin did not click with the sensor that enables/disables speaker output.

Gave it a go but still no joy. Looks like I'm going to have to send it back.
Thanks for all your suggestions.
