Tablet software upgrade

I have a samsung tablet 10.1 with the android software version 3.2. I've had the tablet a long time (purchased around 2013) so I want to upgrade the software so I can begin using it again.

Everytime I try to check to update the software it displays a message saying "Fota service is not available, please try again later"

I've tried resetting the tablet to factory settings and still no luck. The playstore now crashes when I want to download anything.

I purchased it from America but for the first couple of years the tablet worked fine, does anyone have any solutions or suggestions that may help please?

Hello. Unfortunately this tablet has been long time discontinued and you will not get any more updates to use it comfortably. Version 3.2 is the last available version for this product. Your only options are to upgrade to a newer tablet or do a Google research about possibility of installing unofficial custom firmware on it.
