So I've had my Samsung Tablet S6 Lite for 3 years now and its now not turning on. Tried to charge it with my fast charger and its said "USB connection not supported" what does this mean?? Is the software buggy on it or something?? I've never spilt anything on it, charging port is clean, there's barely ever been any battery issues before and I use an official samsung charger. I did have to force restart it once though as it wouldnt turn on but after that it was working fine and that was two years ago. Someone please help, I will attach video.

Everybody! I have an update. So I went on a reddit thread and it said to try the device with a different charger as the newer charges have too much power in them and overload the device so I tried a different charger and... it works! Bad news is though is that its taking 4 hours to charge BUT it is gradually working its way there! Any other tips though would be appreciated greatly and any charger recommendations are welcome too! 😊

Sometimes chargers can go wrong or an issue with the cable.
I normally find the issue is with a cable.
The power of a charging brick is not normally an issue as the device controls how fast or slow the charging is

In the event of further issues ensure you do not have many apps running when charging. Have any 3rd party apps recently installed as that can cause a conflict. if so trey in Safe Mode to see if the issue is still present. https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/

Another idea is to  reset the settings of the USB port of your phone. To do this, go to Applications and  Activate "Show system applications"  by tapping the 3 lines to the right of Your Apps, select ok.

Find the USB settings app and in storage, delete the cache and data. Restart the device and see if that makes a difference.

Sometimes cleaing the cache partition helps ,temporary cache files are deleted but Data is intact.

1. Turn off the device.
2. Connect To Computer or other Device , Press and hold the Volume Up key and then press and hold the Power key
3. When the Android logo displays, release both keys

4. Wait until the Android system recovery menu options appear.
5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
6. Press Power key to select.
7. Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
9. Press the Power key to restart the device.

Ah thank you! I will make sure to try that if the issue happens again but, as of right now, the tablet is working fine after trying it with another charger but thank you for the help! 🙏

Yeah I think the issue mightve been the cable as well. After changing it, it works just fine
