ONE UI 6.1 update has broken my GDL90 background data stream

My Tab 7 Lite was just updated to ONE UI 6.1 and 2 apps which were previously working perfectly together have stopped working. I fly a light aircraft and use Skydemon as a moving map display and SafeSky as a traffic alerting app. The way it works is that SafeSky runs in the background sending data in the GDL90 protocol to Skydemon which then displays the traffic on the map. This is a huge safety benefit and is indispensable for me and many others.

This has been working perfectly on the tablet until the update a few days ago. Now when I give the focus to Skydemon, the GDL90 data stream from SafeSky appears to stop after 60 seconds and Skydemon reports "device connection lost"

So my question is. What did you change and why?

How can I get the 2 apps to work together again?

Additional information. I found that the "Location" setting for SafeSky had been changed from "always" to "While using the app" I have reset this to "Always" but still have the same problem.

Hi.

I believe the recently released one. UI 6.1 update has been causing a.lot of issues on the older models and hence been stopped.

Not sure your issue is because of that.

Couple of options.

1. Keep checking for app updates in both stores.

2. Try either clearing the app's cache or reinstalling it.
