So, i have been using my Galaxy Tab S9FE+ as a dock and Media viewing device and is always connected with a charger. I have fast charging disabled and battery protection set to maximum. But I am concerned about the longevity of the battery i.e. will my way of usage affect the battery life. If yes then what should I change?

Hi, and warm welcome

Leaving any devices on charge all the time will degree your battery faster. Continuously charging your device can generate excess heat, which can damage the battery and reduce its performance.

There's few things you could do:
Turn on battery protection and set it to stop charging at 80% for example.

Try charge only when it reaches certain percentage like 20% then charge it fully.

Use slower charger. 1733925862545.jpg

It is already set to charge till 80 percent, so should I just let it charge and discharge till 20 then charge again?

Yes, it's better then small discharges like 80-90% till 100%. Or even big discharges till it goes 0%. Discharges 20% to 50% are better for your battery's long-term life.

Also, Lithium-ion batteries perform best when kept above 50% charge and not dropped below 20%. Draining the battery completely repeatedly can shorten its life as well.
