Hello,
After 2 years, I finally got around to remove the back cover, I was hoping it was just a matter of corrosion on the connector cable, but no such luck. I know it's a late response, but do you perhaps have any pictures of the chip and RAM you mentioned, I know someone who can do the reballing or reflowing, but need to know which is the right chip and RAM you're talking about. Thanks in advance. Greetings, Soxbrother

Giving the Cpu a bit of heat worked out for me. A few seconds hotair with 200C was enough. I didn't even bother disassembling it. I just removed the back cover and gave it some heat right onto the shielding.
Probably won't be a long term fix, though. But it shows that it's indeed a problem of bad CPU connection.
A reball job would be the appropriate fix.
