Galaxy Tab A9 stylus support

Hello,

I am looking for a tablet for note taking. It needs to be around 8" in size, as my Tab S7 is too large for this task. The only 8" I see in Samsung's lineup is the Tab A9. I know that it does not come with its own stylus, but can it be used with a third-party one, like the one from the S7 or the Kindle Scribe's?

Oddly enough I have exactly the same kit (Note 10 Lite and Tab A9). Your post was very helpful and my experience is exactly the same. Strange how the Universal Stylus works properly once connected to the Tab A9 with a USBc cable!
