charging problems

I have a Tab S4 and am using the original charger but it will only slow charge. Any ideas how I fix? Do I need to get a new plug/cable?

this depends on the current from the charger the more current the faster to much current can damage the battery .the data for the phone will give max current

hi thanks for this. it's a tablet I am charging not a phone, how would this impact your response?

on the old charger there will be a lable that tells you the current emitted compare it to the data of the tablet if same check for a good tight connection.
