Hello everyone,

I’m posting here to share an issue I’ve been having and to see if anyone else has experienced the same thing and managed to find a solution.

Recently, my Bluetooth suddenly stopped working for no apparent reason. I usually keep it turned on all the time on my Tab S9 Ultra and my other devices because I use the Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro a lot. Out of nowhere, I noticed that Bluetooth was turned off and it simply wouldn’t turn back on.

I’ve already tried several methods I found online, but so far nothing has worked. My device hasn’t been dropped, bumped, or damaged in any way. It just stopped working out of nowhere lol. Even though I’ve already tried some fixes, any suggestions are welcome, even if they’re things I may have already tried.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

  • Restarting the device (it works for a few minutes and then stops again. Sometimes I get a message saying “Bluetooth keeps stopping”).

  • Resetting the Wi Fi and Bluetooth settings in the reset menu (and restarting the device afterward).

  • Booting the device in Safe Mode to check if a third party app was interfering with Bluetooth, but that didn’t help either. The Bluetooth control history only shows some Samsung apps.

At this point I feel like my only options left are taking it to a Samsung service center or factory resetting the device, but I’m not even sure that will help since it didn’t work in Safe Mode either.

If anyone has any useful tips or ideas, I would really appreciate it.

Hi @Falconi62  Welcome to the Samsung community :smiling-face:

Try a soft Reset by holding Volume Down and Power Button simultaneously for around 10 seconds until the Device Reboots. You could try Turning Airplane Mode on and off and Reboot. Have you tried  repairing your Device , settings-connections-Bluetooth-select Device and unpair before pairing and connecting again.  you could also reset the Buds via connections-Buds-About Earbuds-Reset.

However you may need to clear the Bluetooth cache, go toto Settings - Apps >-tap the three dots in the top right corner - Show system apps - Bluetooth - Storage - Clear cache and Data to see if that makes a difference.

If still unresolved whilst can be a bit of a hassle may wish to consider factoring resetting after backing up Data.

However you could send Error Report, quickest way is to long press on Members App icon and tap Error Reports.  Select Bluetooth-detail the issue and ensure system logs are enclosed (should be by Default). You can also enclose screen shots.

In addition to @JAMES4578 above, also look to

Reset Network Settings

You will have to input your WiFi and other internet connection passwords again doing this.

My device is an S25 Ultra.

I had actually already done what you suggested, I just forgot to mention it in the post since I’ve been trying to fix this issue for about three days now.

  1. The Bluetooth literally won’t even turn on, so it can’t attempt to connect to any device.

  2. Since Bluetooth won’t turn on, there’s no point in resetting the earbuds.

  3. The option to clear data or cache for the Bluetooth app is greyed out, so it’s impossible to use it. I can’t click it at all.

  4. I’d rather avoid doing a factory reset because I use this tablet for work and I have more than 500 GB of files on it.

  5. I already ran the diagnostic test in Samsung Members and it said everything was fine.

  6. I can sometimes get Bluetooth to turn on after restarting the tablet multiple times and resetting the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings several times as well. Because of that, I don’t think it’s a physical problem with the device or any sensor. It seems more likely to be related to some kind of system update issue.

Miraculously, today the Bluetooth actually worked for about 10 minutes straight. It connected to my earbuds without any issues and everything played normally. But after that, it started acting up again, turning on and off by itself, and eventually went back to the original state of the problem.

Now it simply won’t turn on at all.

I had the same issue for like a 5 month. I think its the cache problem, but since they removed cache partition wipe, i cant get it to work. The only option left is factory reseting the thing
