TabletsI have an elderly friend who has a Tab E tablet.
This currently has 4.4.4 android version.
This is now so out of date that many required apps will not install/not run.
I believe (?) that the os can be revised to version 7. Despite approaches to many 'specialist' tablet repair shops, they insist that this cannot be done. If any one is aware of a source where this work can be done - I would appreciate any useful info.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts and help.

TabletsThanks for your response - I accept that there are risks involved, but finding someone to do the job is my main concern.
NOTE that it is a Samsung Tab E, (not an iPad)
Thanks for your input

TabletsHi there @Polonut
I would strongly advise against forcing an update on your tablet, as this could potentially have a negative affect on the tablet as this is an older version and it's components were not made to support a higher version than the latest software (which is 4.4.4). It may be a good time to upgrade perhaps, and get a newer tablet with cooler features!

TabletsThanks everyone - I know it can be done, however attempts at finding a capable person has proven impossible. Game over I am afraid. Will recommend friend to buy new tablet.
