Hi, everyone! I’m new and this is my first post. I purchased my Samsung A8 10.5” 32G tablet for my daughter in November 2022, and it now has these lines that flicker. Tablet does still respond to touch and seems to charge properly. I’ve included one pic of the screen and a short video clip of what the screen looks like in a game app.
I believe it got left outside overnight inside a play backpack and possibly have gotten moisture inside the charging port?? It’s stayed in a protective case since day one, but I do believe the charging port could also possibly be damaged where she would yank the charger out. I’ve tried the trouble shooting tips with no results. I do know it needs an update and I’ve tried to clean up storage (it was nearly full) best I could given I can’t see things clearly because of the lines. From what I’ve researched, it’s likely due to internal issues or from moisture inside the port.
Any suggestions on other troubleshooting tips to try? Or should I consider purchasing a new tablet if the screen or something internally needs repair given the repair cost would be as much as a new tablet? Also, does Samsung have any type of program to turn in old/broken devices and get a percentage off of a new one?
