Wake up AOD on detailed notifications option

Why does the AOD not wake up when using detailed pop up noti option? Can you please fix this ? Also edge lighting styles are not an exciting or useful option. 

Remove edge lighting style and replace with "wake AOD with new notifications" and give apps choices. At present only random apps wake AoD. Eg email apps dont wake AOD. Why??
