Unable to change transparency on weather widget

Is it possible to add a transparency bar to the default weather widget?

Yes. Long press on the widget and select settings and change transparency from there.

How? No option there? Just as there isn't for the clocks, it's missing. Was there in 6 1 tho.

The transparency slider is shown for some widgets, but not weather and clocks
