Notification light improvement

The notification lights on samsung is a bit of a let down. Currently it just beeps for a split 2/3 seconds and disappears. Why can't it not stay on for longer, so if we are away from our phone when a message has arrived, we will know once returned, let's say 30 minutes after.

The app 'aodNotify' does this beautifully but I want to move away from 3rd party apps for basic settings. It be good to have notification inbuilt to the phone for lights such as charging, fully charged, notification light stays on longer, different notification light colour for apps.

What Samsung phone are you using? Notification lights haven't been on any for a few years now. Always on display is what you want for viewing notifications.

Samsung S23 Ultra.

I mean the light you can choose to show on the phone when a notification comes in. It is a notification light ain't it, like you can choose the edge lighting when come thing comes in.

There's also a good look module called Edge Light + where you can modify this

No, AOD is not what he is talking about. He is meaning something like the old LED light.
This is suggested last year, this year also but is not implemented.

Yes exactly. I forgot what phone it was I think it was the note 10 or something which had it but then they removed it.

I get a flashing light and a beep when receiving notifications ... Set up via settings on my S23 plus in the UK with Beta 8 😁👌😁

Ah I see, yes I liked the notification light on my S8 plus but I don't think they will ever come back.

You get the edge lightning and then AOD stays on to show them, the AOD is the most battery efficient way of showing the notifications instead of edge lighting going on for a long time.
