Inconsistent spacing - design bug?

The spacing in the notification areaa, at the top, seems to be inconsistent. It's different when the screen is locked.

Design bug? If not it does look very tight

Everything in OneUI6 is visually inconsistent. It's a design mess. Seems like no graphic designer ever participated in the development. This is just one more example. And I doubt they will fix any of them before the release. It has been like this since beta1, and mostly ignored.
Seems like they finished the UI before the beta started, and all the betas were mostly back-end and system changes.
