I am writing to report a noticeable regression in the maximum display brightness on my S24 Ultra following the One UI 8.5 update.
Previously, when using the device in direct sunlight, the "High Brightness Mode" (HBM) would trigger effectively, providing excellent visibility. However, since the latest update, the screen remains significantly dimmer under the same sunny conditions. Even with "Adaptive Brightness" enabled, the peak brightness level appears to be capped much lower than before, making the screen difficult to read outdoors.

Hello @Chiranjivi,
Thank you for reporting! Here are some things that may help:
1. Check Device Temperature - If the device is used for a long time in direct sunlight, it may overheat, causing the brightness to be automatically limited. If the screen looks hot or feels hot to the touch, please place it in the shade for a while to cool down before checking again.
2. Check Power Saver Mode - If Power Saver Mode is turned on, the maximum brightness is limited. Please check if it is off.
3. Reset Adaptive Brightness - Try turning Adaptive Brightness off and then back on in Settings
If the issue persists after trying all of the above methods, please report the problem through the Feedback menu in the Samsung Members app. When leaving feedback, please be sure to attach log files so that we can analyze the cause more accurately and make improvements. We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you!
Have a good day! ☀️
