On the iPad, when the device is rotated horizontally, the volume button mapping changes based on the current orientation:
Volume up is always the button towards the top of the screen.
This creates a more natural and consistent experience, especially when holding the device in landscape - ideal for tablets or phones like the Galaxy Z Fold or Ultra series.
So my suggestion is to let the volume dynamically adjust based on device orientation (e.g., when horizontal, "up" is top, not fixed to hardware layout). Make the on-screen volume slider follow the buttons, so they're always visually linked to the buttons location.
Another person mentioned it, but having dynamic software indents to the bezel as you press the button would significantly increase the dynamics of the ui.
Having haptic to resemble volume level also, stronger vibrates the louder the volume and lesser the lower the volume.
