Connecting Air conditioner to Smart things is not working

I have a wind free ac with a QR code with it for smart things connectivity but when I try to connect it with qr code it says that’s it’s invalid and when I try to connect it without QR code , AP appears on the remote but not on the Ac display . I am not sure on how to connect my Ac with smart things so I need help with it.

Hi I did watch this video but “AP” does not show up on the AC ,it only  shows up on the AC remote. The only thing the AC does is a beep sound when the AC remote shows “ AP”.

Hi, I had the exact same problem.

I live in Thailand and I contacted customer service about it and my air con model (AR18BYHCMWKNST) doesn't have Wifi (whatever that means) and so it cannot be used by the Smart Things app. 

It is advertised as if it does, but doesn't. Kind of a cheap move in my opinion. 😕

So basically, can't connect it. I haven't tried using a cable or anything, I'm not that tech-savy.

If anyone finds out how to get it working through some third party device please let me know!
